The Consistorio caravaqueño has held a meeting with those responsible for security and maintenance services to finalize the special device of the Caravaca Fair, whose programming includes commercial, cultural and recreational activities from Friday to Sunday.
The councilor who directs the area of ​​Citizen Security and Traffic, José Santiago Villa, has reported that the entire staff of the Local Police will perform services throughout the weekend.
The device also has the reinforcement of members of the Civil Guard, Fire, Civil Protection and Red Cross.
"Due to the planned activities in the urban area, it is recommended that the population avoid, as far as possible, avoid traveling by car," said the councilor, who has requested the understanding and anticipated apologies of the neighbors for the punctual inconvenience that the development of the fair could cause.
In this sense, Villa has indicated that it is an event that supposes an important support for the automobile sector and, in general, for the commercial, business and tourism sector of our municipality, so "we request the collaboration of all caravaqueños that everything develops in the best possible way. Traffic cuts and deterrent parking areas
From this Thursday, October 17, and until Sunday afternoon, the Gran Vía will remain cut to road traffic, since in this area more than 20 companies in the automotive sector will meet.
The intersections of the main artery of the city (by Raimundo Rodríguez, Maruja Garrido, Juan Carlos I, Simancas and Avenida Almería) will be open to traffic and regulated by the Local Police.
Access to Caravaca de la Cruz will also be open by Carretera de Murcia, Maruja Garrido, Carretera de Granada and Carretera de Moratalla.
Road traffic will also be allowed on the Paseo de La Corredera, but only by the route that runs through the Convent of the Carmelite Fathers.
The climb to the Castle will be enabled by Puente Uribe or Raimundo Rodríguez.
Finally, on Sunday morning, on the occasion of the Romería del Bando de los Caballos del Vino, traffic will be cut at the accesses to the place of Las Fuentes del Marqués.
From the Department of Traffic and Public Safety remember that the deterrent parking areas are located in the old train station and on the esplanade of Los Andenes Avenue, next to Halls Castillo de la Cruz.
Commercial, gastronomic and cultural activities
The Caravaca de la Cruz Fair 2019 is covered by a program of activities that will begin to take place tomorrow, Friday, October 18, and includes activities such as the Fair of Agricultural Machinery and Automotive, the gastronomic event 'The kitchens of the jubilee', the Market of Antiquities, Collecting and Second Hand, the exhibition of classic vehicles and the acts of the Pilgrimage of the Wine Horses.
The music will also play a leading role in the hands of the group 'Bombai' and the Murcia DJ 'Carrie Palmer', which will perform on Saturday, October 19 (11.00 p.m.), in the festive venue located on the Paseo de Santa Clara, next to the Halls Castillo de la Cruz, with free access.
