The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz, through its Department of Youth, has open the registration period in the course of 'Design of Mantos de los Caballos del Vino y Ropa Festera', which will be held until the end of January in the dependencies of the Young Center.
This training action will be directed by the caravaqueño designer Juan Miguel López-Sánchez, whose works have been recognized on numerous occasions in the Contest of Enjeacimiento with the highest awards.
Juan Miguel López-Sánchez presented the contents of this second edition together with the mayor of Youth, Laura Sánchez Domenech.
Both explained that the goal is to enhance and accompany the talent that those young people who want to start in this art and discover this world, bringing new values ​​to the celebration candidate to be declared Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
The course, aimed at people between the ages of 14 and 35, has the collaboration of the Wine Horses Band.
The 35 hours of practical theoretical training will be accompanied by complementary activities, such as meetings with embroiderers or a visit to the House-Museum of the Wine Horses.
Another novelty of this year is that contents related to the festive clothing of the Moro and Cristiano sides will also be addressed.
Classes will be held on Fridays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., until the end of January next year.
Registration is formalized at the Centro Joven (Avenue of the Andenes by Gregorio Sánchez romero, number 18).
The inscription has a price of 20 euros.
