The motion presented by the Socialist Municipal Group in the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz, last September, makes history in our municipality and makes us a more inclusive municipality and support the most needy and vulnerable.
The motion was presented and defended by the mayor of the Municipal Socialist Group, María José Soria, on September 30 and it was voted in favor by all political groups represented in the caravaqueño town hall.
The motion requested that, during a certain time, the fair of Caravaca de la Cruz remain without noise and without strident lights, in support of people suffering from autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
To comply with this resolution passed in full, this past weekend the children's attractions, installed on the occasion of the Caravaca de la Cruz Fair, were without music from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday, thus achieving A few hours to enjoy these facilities for people with some type of autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Very loud and strident music, as well as very intense and flickering lights mean that people with this type of disorders are genuinely tortured and having to endure these circumstances can cause a crisis, which makes families in the care of these children not they can enjoy the fair like the rest of the citizens;
So the Municipal Socialist Group presented this motion in order to achieve a fairer, more tolerant and more inclusive municipality, responding to the most vulnerable people in society.
