Within the Regional Choir Exchanges, the choral music formations 'Arsis' and 'Musicalberca' offer a joint recital this Sunday, October 27, at 8:00 p.m., in the chapel of Santa Teresa of the Carmelite Fathers church of Caravaca de la Cruz.
The exchanges, which have the collaboration of the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts of the Region of Murcia (ICA), are held in different municipalities with choral music formations integrated into the Federation of Choirs of the Region of Murcia.
The choir invited to Caravaca will be the 'Musicalberca', which belongs to the Musical Association of La Alberca and has been singing since 1989, participating in concerts, meetings and choral exchanges.
It is directed by the Burgundy based in Murcia Rodrigo Calzada Peña, graduated in Teaching in the specialty of Musical Education, graduated in Pedagogy and Master of Inclusive Education and Society from the University of Burgos.
The director combines these tasks with the direction of the Orfeón Murciano 'Fernández Caballero', the direction of the Escolanía de 'Cabezo de Torres', its titular choir, as well as the Young Choir and the Orfeón de 'San Juan' in Alicante.
The hosts will be the 'Arsis' caravaqueo choir, which has also participated in numerous regional, national and international concerts and festivals since it was created in 1998 by a group of people interested in maintaining and promoting choral singing, bringing it closer to stages away from the usual circuits of this genre.
Among his numerous performances, the participation in the Mass celebrated in the Cathedral of Murcia, on the occasion of the pilgrimage of the Vera Cruz, and the concerts in the La Almudena cathedral in Madrid, and in Zaragoza, among others.
