The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz has delivered the 'Extraordinary Education Awards' to publicly acknowledge the effort and academic results of those caravaqueños students of Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Music Teaching who completed studies with the best records of their promotion.
The mayor, José Francisco García - who presided over the event at the Society of Jesus, together with the Councilor for Education, José Fernández Tudela, the directors of schools and other representatives of the educational community of the municipality - stressed "that the great challenge of today's society to know how to listen to young people and that they are part of the decision-making process in matters affect us all.They are the present and are the future and in acts such as the one we celebrate their preparation is evident and the desire to contribute to society. Listening to them makes us very proud. "
José Francisco García congratulated the teachers, families and of course, the eleven winners.
"Keep it up, this is the way to face your challenges and to achieve all the dreams that you carry within."
For his part, the Councilor for Education, José Fernández Tudela said "that these students have finished an academic stage in an exceptional way and that is why the City Council has to publicly signify that work, that perseverance and that discipline that makes them exemplary students" .
The Department of Education established an award for each of the modalities of Baccalaureate and Vocational Training and awards for Professional Music Teaching, which are taught in the teaching centers of the municipality.
For this, the best academic record was assessed in each modality, which was obtained by calculating the average grade, including all calls and qualifications obtained throughout the cycle for which it is chosen.
The final average grade had to be 8 or higher.
The winners in the Baccalaureate modality were: Eva Pérez Sánchez (Bachelor of Science and Research);
Fuensanta Vilches Bravo (Bachelor of Science and Research);
Marina Martínez Lorenzo (Bachelor of Humanities and Social Sciences);
Alba María López Marín (Bachelor of Humanities and Social Sciences and Research).
In Vocational Training: Joaquín Jiménez Martínez (Formative Cycle of Middle Degree of Technician in Administrative Management);
Santo Martínez Ródenas (Training Cycle of Middle Technical Degree in Microinformatics Systems and Networks);
Esteban García Marín (Higher Technical Training Course in Computer Systems Administration in Network), María Isabel Sánchez Sánchez (Higher Technical Training Course in Administration and Finance), María José Miravete Cano Higher Degree Training Degree in Higher Technician in Oral hygiene).
In professional music lessons taught at the Conservatory 'Leandro Martínez Romero': Ángela María Rodríguez López (Piano Specialty) and Alba María López Marín (Cello Specialty).
