'D´Ruta' tries to combat sedentary life through sport in nature
With the motto 'Sunday to walk, moments to enjoy', the Department of Sports of the Caravaqueño City Council launches a new edition of the municipal hiking program 'D´Ruta'.
"This season we offer seven trips to places, natural parks and mountain areas," said the councilor responsible for the area of ​​Sports, José Fernández Tudela.
The mayor recalled that the objective of this municipal activity "is to promote the love for sport in the countryside and promote healthy habits of life, fighting sedentary lifestyle."
The scheduled routes are as follows: on November 24 'La Almoloya' of Pliego (low level of difficulty);
on December 1 the 'Cerro del Carro' of Los Royos (low level of difficulty);
on January 12 'El Obispo' and 'Revolcadores' through Puerto Alto (medium level of difficulty), on February 9' Barranco de Aserradores.
Loma Victoria (low level of difficulty);
March 15 stage of the Camino de San Juan de la Cruz from El Sabinar to Caravaca (medium level of difficulty) and May 24 stage of the Camino de San Juan de la Cruz from Beas de Segura to Hornos (medium level of difficulty).
The municipal hiking program 'D´Ruta 2019' will be closed with a two-day departure (May 30 and 31) to Cabo de Gata (Almería), with low difficulty routes.
Registration will be formalized from the Monday before each of the routes, at the offices of the Department of Sports, located in the Juan Antonio Corbalán pavilion, or through the website www.sporttia.com.
The registration fee is 6 euros per route (federative license) and 3.50 euros for federated mountain with a valid license.
Minors may only participate if they are from nine years of age and on tours of level 1 (low).
The hiker will receive before each route an SMS from the Department of Sports with the necessary and mandatory material to participate for the safety of the group.
Each of the monthly departures will be guided by monitors specialized in the practice of hiking.
