The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz will teach in all secondary schools in the municipality workshops to prevent addiction to the game, which will be directed by therapists of the association 'Proyecto Hombre'.
"These workshops are based on a participatory and reflective methodology, posing to students the risks and dangers of games with gambling and addiction to video games. In addition, the theme is focused not only from risk but also from decision making of healthy alternatives for your free time, "said the mayor of Youth, Laura Sánchez Domenech.
On the other hand, the therapist of Proyecto Hombre, Lidia Aznar, has pointed out that "we live a time in which this type of games are available to boys and girls thanks to new technologies and we must do a job of raising awareness of risks posed by the abuse of tools such as mobile phones and internet, and especially the fact of using these tools for certain types of habits, that is why this type of workshops is fundamental ".
This action is integrated into the training program developed by the Department of Youth of the Caravaqueño Consistory, in collaboration with the educational centers, in order to address matters of interest that favor the personal and academic development of students.
Other workshops are being carried out from the municipal area of Youth are those oriented to affective-sexual education, the search for employment, the prevention of alcohol consumption or the responsible use of social networks.
