Lawyers will provide assistance every Friday morning, at the Municipal Employment Center, to residents of the judicial parties of Caravaca and Mula
Caravaca de la Cruz has a Legal Guidance Service that allows a free approach to citizens, with the processing of applications and assistance in the process for the designation of a lawyer.
The objective is to favor the right to effective judicial protection.
The implementation of this service is part of the collaboration agreement between the Illustrious Bar Association of the Region of Murcia and the Caravaqueño Consistory, being the first city council in the Region to implement it.
"This service helps to guarantee access to justice in conditions of equality, bringing the citizen's duty ex officio, which designates a lawyer to those neighbors who prove they lack the financial resources to do so," as reported by the mayor from Caravaca de la Cruz, José Francisco García.
It is, the mayor added, "of a measure of social importance, which also benefits the Administration of Justice and, therefore, all citizens."
Coinciding with the implementation of the Legal Guidance Service, the Vice Dean of the Bar Association of the Region of Murcia, Maravillas Hernández, and the dean judge of the Judicial Party of Caravaca de la Cruz moved to the Municipal Employment and Training Center, Antonio Ramos Valverde.
Councilors Mónica Sánchez and Isabel López, the deputy of the Murcia Bar Association, Cristina García, as well as attorneys and lawyers of the judicial party and social services attended.
Legal Guidance Service (SOJ)
The Legal Guidance Service will allow the inhabitants of the Judicial Party of Caravaca to formalize their applications for free justice in the Municipal Center for Employment, Training and Equality every Friday, from 9.30 to 13.30 hours. In this space they will be attended by lawyers from the College of Lawyers, who will also cover the care of the applicants of the Judicial Party of Mula.
The implementation of this service has also had the collaboration of the Dean Court of Caravaca de la Cruz, the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Northwest and the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Mula River.
All this in order to expedite the granting of the benefit of free legal assistance and the appointment of professionals.
The collaboration agreement includes the transfer by the City of Caravaca of two municipal spaces for the citizen advisory service and a lawyer's room available to all members.
Free legal justice and ex officio shift
Free legal assistance is a public service that guarantees access to justice on equal terms to those who lack the financial resources to litigate, while the ex officio shift is the system through which the bar associations proceed to appoint lawyers to those who need legal defense, being free for those who prove they lack financial resources.
In Caravaca de la Cruz, the Legal Guidance Service professionals will attend and guide the citizens who need it for free.
