The socialist deputy Consa Martínez says that these works will solve a problem that Caravaca has suffered for a long time, "a municipality with a significant population density, which is head of the region, receives thousands of visitors, and deserves infrastructure at the level of its wealth heritage and natural "
The Territorial Policy Commission of the Regional Assembly has unanimously approved an initiative proposed by the Socialist Parliamentary Group to begin the work of splitting the T-730 highway, which joins exit 61 of the RM-15 highway with the urban center of Caravaca de la Cruz.
This has been explained by the Socialist deputy Consa Martínez at the end of the commission, who has been satisfied, "because it is a very necessary and highly demanded works by the caravaqueños and caravaqueñas."
He explained that this is the only access road to Caravaca from the highway and that connects with the road that goes to the industrial estates of Cavila and Santa Inés and several districts, and even to the province of Granada, so they occur daily retention and collapse problems.
"This motion would not have been presented if in the initial approaches of the Northwest Rio de Mula highway, which was inaugurated in 2001 with a PP government, had been contemplated, as have other neighboring municipalities, at least another second exit to the urban center of Caravaca, "he said.
"This initiative will give a solution to the problem that we have been suffering for a long time in Caravaca, a municipality with an important population density, which is head of the region, receives thousands of visitors, and deserves infrastructure at the level of its heritage wealth and natural, "he concluded.
