The 2020 nomination of the Wine Horses for Intangible Heritage of Humanity will be the protagonist of an exhibition space and a presentation included in the official program of the event
The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz, through its Department of Tourism and in collaboration with the Wine Horses Band, participates for the first time in 'IFEMA Madrid Horse Week', the great equestrian event of the year in Spain and one of the greatest exponents of the equestrian world internationally.
The 2020 nomination of the Wine Horses for Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO will be the protagonist of one of the ninety stand of the Horse Hall of the 'Madrid Horse Week', which takes place on November 29 and 30 and December 1 in halls 12 and 14 of the Madrid Fairgrounds.
"It is a unique opportunity to invite the thousands of fans to the equestrian world that congregates event to travel to Caravaca de la Cruz, a town in which we have the horse as a sign of identity and as an intrinsic part of a unique tradition in the world and rooted in our history, "said the mayor of Caracas, José Francisco García.
The mayor thanked the involvement shown by the direction of the event, which has collaborated with the space to promote the official candidacy of the Wine Horses for Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO and, in addition, has included a specific presentation in the official program of acts.
The VII edition of 'FIEMA Madrid Horse Week' will once again turn the capital of Spain into a meeting point for fans of this sport, families who love horses and numerous familiar faces, which will meet in the great competitions of the Central Court and around the shows and activities for all audiences that will take place in the Salón del Caballo.
The sports program of this seventh edition will host for the second time in Spain the Dressage World Cup, III Copa de la Vaquera Masters and the Jumping World Cup, among other competitions.
The proposal of 'IFEMA Madrid Horse Week' goes beyond pure and hard competition to offer its visitors a complete entertainment offer with the numerous shows at the Salón del Caballo, which this year will feature an extensive program of exhibitions and activities for all the public;
aVillage Comercial with more than 80 fashion stands, equestrian items, veterinarians, equine transport, catering, food and decoration, and so on.
The Wine Horses
The Wine Horses festival is the next Spanish candidacy to be evaluated by UNESCO for inclusion in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
It is a unique festive, cultural and anthropological manifestation, which is part of the Festivities in Moors, Christians and Wine Horses honoring the Blessed and Vera Cruz de Caravaca (Murcia), declared of International Tourist Interest.
An event that is celebrated every May 2 for more than three centuries and that has the horse as the protagonist.
