They have previously visited the IES 'San Juan de la Cruz', where an investment of 294,000 euros has allowed the replacement of doors and more than 180 windows
The mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Francisco García, together with members of the Government team, has held a meeting with the Regional Government Education and Culture Minister, Esperanza Moreno, and with the guidance team of the Ministry to put on the table the needs of the municipality in educational and cultural matters and plan the most immediate projects.
"We are very grateful for the attention that the Ministry of Education and Culture has given us, celebrating its Board of Directors in the City Council, and putting Caravaca de la Cruz in the foreground, since we have had the opportunity to study the memory of actions prepared from the departments involved, "said the mayor, while stressing that" collaboration and direct contact between local and regional administration is essential to carry out the projects that our municipality needs. "
Before the meeting in which needs and projects have been evaluated in the urban area and in the districts, the mayor and the Councilor for Education, José Fernández Tudela, have accompanied the counselor and her management team to the visit to IES San Juan de la Cruz, where the academic year began with a total investment of 294,339 euros.
This budget has allowed the replacement of 180 windows and 10 doors, with which adequate thermal insulation is achieved, which favors energy efficiency, with significant light savings, also providing greater comfort to the building.
"After this important investment, other projects related to the arrangement of covers, sports courts and some of the classrooms must be dealt with progressively, since it is a center with more than half a century of history, one of the oldest of the Region, and there are other needs that we now transfer to the Ministry, together with the director of the Isidro de la Osa center, "said José Francisco García.
