The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz has given the municipal subsidy to Caritas aimed at collaborating with the purchase of food, as well as the attention of other basic needs of families in situations of vulnerability and / or social exclusion.
The Councilor for Social Services, Isabel López, thanked "the quiet work that throughout the year, and even more these Christmas dates, all Caritas volunteers do, devoting their time to solidarity and the neediest people in society" .
The mayor has informed that the Consistory consigns of the municipal budget a total of 18,000 euros, which is distributed among the three Caritas delegations in the parishes of the town.
Caritas develops in Caravaca de la Cruz the 'Welcome and Accompaniment' program, which is a project aimed at the integral development of the person, based on active listening and direct collaboration with people or families to respond to basic needs such as food or clothing.
Likewise, the organization dependent on the Catholic Church develops training and career guidance actions within the 'Employment in Territory' project.
