The Caravaca Basketball Club, with the collaboration of the Caravaca City Council, is the promoter of the event, which for the first time has also been played at Archivel and Barranda

About 200 players, belonging to about twenty teams from Andalusia, Murcia and Valencia, have played in Caravaca de la Cruz the VIII Christmas Tournament 'Francisco Fernández Torralba', organized by local basketball club, in collaboration with the Department Sports of the Consistory caravaqueño.

During the weekend, a total of 36 matches of the Junior Men and Women and Men Cadet categories have been played at the municipal facilities.

For the first time, and with the aim of bringing activities of all kinds to the districts, some of the meetings have been played at the facilities of Archivel and Barranda, in addition to the classic pavilions Juan Antonio Corbalán and Jorge Bera.

"For the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz it is a pleasure to collaborate with the great family of the Caravaca Basketball Club, since this event is an important support for grassroots sport and, in addition, it reports a benefit to our municipality because it correctly combines sport and tourism, "said the mayor José Fernández Tudela, who has also indicated that both players and technical and family teams have completed much of the tourist accommodation in the Northwest.

Likewise, from the Department of Sports and the Caravaca Basketball Club they have thanked all the people who have collaborated in the organization of the tournament, from Red Cross and Civil Protection to those responsible for tables, statistics, canteen, etc., without whose selfless work The development of the event would be impossible.
