Addressing urgent needs communicated both by the management of the centers and by associations of fathers and mothers has been the objective of the first phase of the plan to improve maintenance in the schools of the town center and districts, which the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through his Department of Sports and Education, has carried out taking advantage of the parenthesis of the classes for Christmas.
"From the City Council we have prepared an action report, divided into several phases, with which we want to improve the maintenance of educational centers, as well as a dossier with draft investments that we are already finalizing to be financed through the Regional Government" , informed the councilor who directs the areas of Education and Sports, José Fernández Tudela.
Among the actions carried out, the sports court of the Barranda school stands out, an action contemplated in the municipal budget investments, made with concrete firm and two layers of non-slip sports paint.
In the Cervantes School the outer track is also conditioned, applying the same paint.
Both performances will be completed in the first half of February.
The Councilor for Education, Pepe Tudela, has also advanced that they will replenish twelve sets of minibasket baskets, with new boards, hoops and nets, in the schools' El Salvador ',' La Santa Cruz ',' Virgen de la Candelaria '.
'Sierra de Monjantes' and 'San Francisco'.
"The state was unfortunate and posed a security risk for the students themselves," said the mayor of Education and Sports, who has reviewed other initiatives such as fencing in the school of La Encarnación, repairing part of the fence and wall perimeter and cover of the sports warehouse of 'Basilio Sáez'.
Another notable action undertaken by the Department of Education and Sports has been the installation of security cameras on the school sports courts of La Encarnación, Navares, Pinilla and Singla to prevent vandal acts.
Finally, renovation works have been carried out in the special education school 'Ascruz', with the renovation of the changing room and priests, expanding the dimensions and providing it with an acoustic ceiling, porcelain flooring, new electrical installation, heating and washbasin.
