Alejandro Valverde and Pedro León, emblems of Murcian cycling, have confirmed their participation in the 15 national and international teams already confirmed

The mayor, José Francisco García, and the Councilor for Sports, Pepe Tudela, have held a meeting with the director of 'La Vuelta Ciclista a Murcia-Gran Premio Sabadell', Francisco Guzmán, whose inaugural stage will take place on February 14 , with a goal on the esplanade of the Caravaca de la Cruz Castle.

In addition, José Francisco García has stressed that this initiative is part of the campaign to support the candidacy of the Wine Horses for Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

Valverde has won the Home Tour five times - 2004, 2007, 2008, 2014 and 2017 - and Luis León has been the winner for the last two years.
