The City Council has joined the initiative
On the occasion of the celebration of International Women's Day, the workers of Aqualia de Caravaca de la Cruz have claimed gender equality before the Customer Service office.
The Councilors for Urban Planning, Land Management, Public Services, Women and Health, Mónica Sánchez García, and Personnel, Employment, Commerce, Hospitality and Crafts, Environment, Rural Development and Animal Protection, Ana Belén have joined the initiative Martínez Fernández.
In this way, Aqualia has joined the Generation Equality campaign of the United Nations, under the slogan "I am of the Generation Equality: For the rights of women".
In addition, Aqualia encourages all people to join the initiative and raise their voice to empower all women and girls through Twitter, sharing photographs that reflect the union of men and women with the hashtag # GeneraciónIgualdad and #AqualiaIgualdad.
The website www.aqualiaigualdad.com collects testimonies for women's rights and an equal future, regardless of gender or age, without leaving anyone behind.
In Aqualia, women represent 20.73% of the workforce and 15% occupy management positions (2018 data).

This attitude has earned him, among others, the distinctive Equality of the Ministry of Health, Social Affairs and Equality, which is granted only to a select group of companies really committed to equality.
In addition, it was the first operator of public water services nationwide to obtain the Family Responsible Company (efr) seal, which means bringing the company closer to excellence in conciliation management.
The company has carried out, in just one year, 51 measures aimed at developing the objectives of training and awareness-raising in conciliation, within the framework of the efr seal.
