The City of Caravaca de la Cruz has held the second to the Police Coordination Table since the State of Alarm was decreed as a consequence of the health crisis caused by the expansion of the coronavirus.
This body, which is now convened weekly at the request of the Government Delegation, is chaired by the mayor, José Francisco García, and composed of the councilor for Citizen Security and Traffic, José Santiago Villa, along with the captain of the Civil Guard in Caravaca, Luis Belda, and the chief inspector of the Local Police, Juan Moya.
During this second call within the crisis caused by COVID-19, the planned actions have been followed up to guarantee compliance with the Royal Decree on the State of Alarm approved by the Council of Ministers, which has been extended until 11 April before the spread of the pandemic.
In this sense, an assessment has been made about the operation of permanent controls by the agents on public roads, highlighting the civic attitude and massive collaboration of the Caravaqueño society, with isolated cases in which both the Local Police and the Civil Guard act accordingly imposing the sanctions collected for these behaviors.
Likewise, the Police Coordination Table has planned and planned a reinforced presence at the entrances to banking entities as a preventive measure, since pensions begin to be received on the 25th of each month and we must ensure that older people do not focus on them. spaces, since they are a high-risk group for the spread of the coronavirus.
In this sense, the councilor responsible for the area of ​​Citizen Security and Traffic has called for them not to attend the offices in person and that family members or trusted persons to whom they delegate use telematic means or do not attend tomorrow, Wednesday 25, to try to avoid crowds and to do it in a staggered way over the next few days.
