A set of economic measures have been requested in order to minimize the economic consequences and help workers, the self-employed, merchants, bars and restaurants and the most disadvantaged classes of Caravan society.
Due to the health crisis that is being suffered at a global, national, regional and also local level and since drastic measures of social distancing have had to be taken, thereby preventing the work and tasks commonly performed by all citizens, the Group Municipal has requested by general register a battery of measures so that the consequences of COVID-19 do not affect or affect the Caravaquean society as little as possible.
This unprecedented situation in our country, in the Region of Murcia and in the town of Caravaca de la Cruz, will lead to strong economic imbalances that will once again affect the working class and the most vulnerable in our society.
For this reason, the Municipal Socialist Group has called for a set of economic measures to minimize the economic consequences and help workers, the self-employed and the most disadvantaged.
Economic measures requested by the Municipal Socialist Group from the Government team of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz:
Compensate all the bars, restaurants and cafes in Caravaca de la Cruz for the occupancy rate they pay for their terraces, on the days that these venues are closed.
Exempt all businesses in Caravaca de la Cruz from the Tax for garbage collection and receipt of water while they are closed.
Proceed with the modification of the Tax Ordinance on the Construction and Works Tax (ICIO), in order to encourage the construction and execution of works by temporarily abolishing said tax.
Proceed with the refund of fees paid to sports, cultural or educational schools, corresponding to the days that the services are not provided.
Compensating street vendors to pay the Fee for setting up stalls, as long as the weekly market on Mondays or other markets is not held.
Streamline the processing, approval and payment of invoices from the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, prioritizing those corresponding to self-employed or small entrepreneurs
Promote, together with the Association of Merchants and Hoteliers of Caravaca de la Cruz, a campaign to promote and support local commerce.
