The Northwest Community of Social Services will receive a total of 291,304 Euros destined to cover the social needs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, of which 127,707.67 Euros will go to the Caravaca de la Cruz City Council.
These come from the more than nine million Euros that the Government of Spain distributes among the municipalities of the Region of Murcia, to cover the most essential needs caused by the serious health crisis worldwide.
This budget item comes from an extraordinary credit of 300,000,000 euros approved by the Council of Ministers of the Government of Spain whose allocation for the Region of Murcia has been 9,284,806 euros.
An important economic amount that the Government of the Nation has distributed among local entities and that will allow covering the basic needs of the most vulnerable population during the pandemic.
As explained in the Royal Decree Law and in the credit distribution agreement, these have been generated in order to guarantee and reinforce Basic Social Services Benefits to carry out urgent and extraordinary measures that are exclusively intended to against the extraordinary situations derived from the COVID-19.
These credits will go to offer direct financial support to families;
emergency aid for the purchase of food, medicine and payment of basic bills;
and home support measures for the most vulnerable, isolated and disabled people.
From the Municipal Socialist Group we show our amazement at not having made the aid of the Caravaca City Council public in the many communications that have been carried out, as if it wanted to hide the actions destined for our municipality by the Government of Spain.
Another example of this is that the distribution of 6000 masks in Caravaca by the Government of Spain, the City of Caravaca was the last of the municipalities in the Region to announce this measure, where they would be distributed and at what times and, in addition, they made a once the cast has been carried out.
