" This week, disinfection tasks began in all educational centers, since they have had to open their doors exclusively for administrative tasks, by appointment, due to the start of the registration period.
It has also been performed in the two municipal outdoor sports facilities, where individual sports can already be practiced with reservation and under the security protocol established by the Department of Sports. The operators carry out work outside the schools and institutes of the urban area and districts (San Francisco, El Salvador, La Santa Cruz, Cervantes, Basilio Sáez, Ascruz, Nuestra Señora de la Consolación, Sierra de Mojantes, Quípar Valley and the Oróspeda High School centers, San Juan de la Cruz and Ginés Pérez Chirinos), as well as on the Juan Carlos I tracks and in the Francisco Fernández Torralba sports complex. Another priority in this phase of the Disinfection Plan are the spaces where there is a concentration of commercial premises, such as, for example, in Cartagena and Juan Carlos I streets or on Gran Vía, as well as the exteriors of health centers and essential services. From the Department of Public Services are also carrying out tasks of setting up gardens and green areas for walks, such as the Camino del Huerto.
Councilwoman Mónica Sánchez has advanced that maintenance has been strengthened and that shortly, intense clearing works will be launched in green areas and roads, which are urgent and necessary, and even more after such a rainy spring.
"We apologize that this action in normal circumstances would have started days before, but the human and material resources we have had to focus on the priority health emergency situation to contain the spread of the virus in our municipality, which is offering us such good results, "he noted. Likewise, it has reported that the requirements have been prepared for the owners of plots or private plots to remind them of their obligation to keep them clean and in good hygienic-sanitary conditions, as established by municipal ordinance.
These requirements will come into effect as soon as circumstances allow, as currently the administrative deadlines and procedures are suspended by decree of the state of alarm.
