The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz progressively executes an improvement plan in the network of Museums of the municipality, within the actions that are being carried out in municipal public facilities taking advantage of the period of closure due to the state of alarm.This is one of the measures included in the 'Municipal Plan for the Reactivation of Tourism in Caravaca de la Cruz', whose main lines of action were already announced last week, and with which the city of La Cruz is preparing for the post-Covid scenario.

"One of the main objectives of the Department of Tourism "is to relaunch the image of the Network of Museums of Caravaca and put in value the artistic, cultural and ethnographic heritage that these spaces house," said the mayor.
"For this, the first step is to properly condition them to receive the visitor, along with another series of reinforcement actions, such as the single passport, which will be free for the first 500 tourists who stay overnight in our municipality this summer," he explained.The Department of Tourism has planned a staggered opening of the Caravaca Museum Network.
The first to open their doors will be the Festival Museum, the Vera Cruz Museum, the Ethnic Music Museum-Blanco Fadol de Barranda Collection and the House-Museum of the Wine Horses, which will do so next Monday, 1 June.
In a second phase, and to be able to advance in the maintenance tasks, the Archaeological Museum of 'La Soledad', the Interpretation Center of the Nature of the Sources and the José Carrilero Museum will do so.Among the works that have already been carried out, those carried out in the Fiesta Museum, located in the Uribe mansion whose origin dates back to the 16th century, stand out.
In this place, mainly work has been done on the main façade, in the restoration of doors and windows, in the recovery of the garden and its ornamental fountain, in the reform of the plumbing installation, as well as in the conditioning of the reception and some of its interior rooms, with the arrangement of pavement and walls.In the Vera Cruz Museum, the cleaning and painting of the reservoirs and their surroundings has been carried out.
In the Archaeological Museum of 'La Soledad' the cleaning of the wall has been undertaken and now it is going to continue with the restoration of the doors.
In the Music Museum, the wooden floor of the access area has been renovated, along with improvement works and in the patio and inside.
In the Nature Interpretation Classroom of the Fuentes del Marqués you will also start acting on walls, doors and bars.The four aforementioned museums will open to the public next Monday, June 1, during their normal hours (from 10:00 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m.
and from 4:00 p.m.
to 7:00 p.m., with the exception of Sundays that are open in the morning).
