The councilor who runs the area, José Santiago Villa, has reported that "the main task is to offer greater protection and closeness to the victims, as well as to act, in full coordination with the Civil Guard, in the event of domestic violence and protection of minors " The Gender Violence Unit is made up of three women and one man.
The four officers have begun training through the course 'Gender Violence and Equality Policies from the perspective of the Local Police', taught by the School of Training and Innovation of the Public Administration of the Region of Murcia and is taking carried out telematically in police units. José Santiago Villa recalled that the Local Table on Gender Violence and the Police Coordination Table are regularly convened in order to increase prevention actions and improve coordination among the agents involved.
