The director general of the Natural Environment, Fulgencio Perona, visited the works carried out today, with an investment of nearly 30,000 euros, for the adaptation of roads in the shady area of ??the Serrata de Caneja, in the municipality of Caravaca de la Cruz .
Perona explained that "its location and good communications give it a strategic nature of the first magnitude in relation to fundamental matters, such as the defense and prevention of forest fires, hosting a surveillance infrastructure of maximum relevance."This project aims to adapt the access road to the sentry box present on this mountain.
The works carried out have consisted of cleaning gutters along 1.3 kilometers; firm refinement in 2.1 kilometers; irrigation and compaction of the pavement; zahorra contribution in 200 meters; concreted in 150 meters; construction of a speed bump 10 meters long; and perimeter fencing of the ruins of the old forest house.
