"The municipal aid, distributed in 7,000 euros for each delegation, is intended to collaborate in the purchase of food that is distributed weekly, as well as to attend to other basic needs of families in a situation of vulnerability or social exclusion, in a stage marked by the economic and social crisis derived from the COVID-19 pandemic, where all help is necessary and for that reason, we wanted to increase our commitment to the organization so that they have more resources and can reach more people ", as indicated by the mayor, José Francisco García. The mayor and the councilor for Social and Family Services, Isabel López, met and handed over the checks to the representatives of the three parish delegations, while evaluating the altruistic social aid work that is being carried out. The mayor Isabel López thanked "the priceless work carried out by all the Cáritas volunteers, dedicating their time to the most needy people in society, a task that currently and due to the special circumstances we live in, has acquired even greater value and importance ". The mayor has also expressed his public appreciation for the commitment of Caritas, which every day, throughout the year, serves the most disadvantaged people in the municipality.
"The three Caracas parishes have seen an increase in the number of users and, at the moment, they provide help to many families, so I also encourage the neighbors to be encouraged to become volunteers."
