On September 17, the Municipal Socialist group presented a motion for the municipal conciliation centers not to be launched unless the due epidemiological report is provided to support their opening.Due to the recent return to school of children throughout Spain and in our Autonomous Community in particular, the parents of the children have contacted the PSOE to show their concern because the Regional Government, which is who has the competencies in Education has not done the homework for the safe return to class of the thousands of students. No more teachers have been hired to lower the ratio and thereby ensure social distancing as well as quality educational care. From the Municipal Socialist Group in the Caravaca de la Cruz City Council, a motion was presented on September 17 for debate in the next plenary session on Monday, September 28, 2020.
In this motion and concerned about the new problem in the classrooms are asked for the following points of agreement:1.-Urge the government of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia to expand the staffing of teachers in a sufficient number to reduce the ratios of students per classroom and the division of groups, as well as the provision of the necessary spaces guarantee the presence and, with it, universal and free education of students.2.- To urge the Department of Education not to start up the municipal conciliation centers if it is not provided by the competent body of the Autonomous Community an epidemiological report that supports its opening, as well as organizational protocols and contingency plans before possible contagions.
