The municipality will be present in the cycle of videoconferences with three themes: 'The wine horses: rituals, celebration and heritage', 'Project for the rehabilitation of the House of the Virgin as a center for research and the arts' and' The hydraulic mill Roman and other archaeological finds in the Hoya de los Molinos' The Ministry of Education and Culture of the Autonomous Community and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) organize these conferences every four Tuesdays in October, taught by specialists in the recovery and enhancement of historical artistic heritage and interventions in Assets of Cultural Interest The Ministry of Education and Culture of the Region of Murcia and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) have organized the XXVI Conference of Cultural Heritage of the Region of Murcia, which in the 2020 edition pay special attention to the heritage of Caravaca de la Cruz and the actions for its protection and possible recognition as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO of the Wine Horse Festival. The municipality acquires special prominence in this edition, since, within the session dedicated to regional intangible heritage, there will be a presentation 'The horses of wine: rituals, celebration and heritage, by Juan López García, head of the Casa- Museum of Wine Horses, on Tuesday October 27, at 5:00 p.m.

This Caravacan celebration, which is part of the Patron Saint Festivities of Vera Cruz and is celebrated on May 2, will be the official candidacy that represents the Kingdom of Spain at the next UNESCO summit. The days will have the Caravaca heritage as a reference in two other days.
On the one hand, the architect Francisco Sandoval will present the presentation "Rehabilitation of the House of the Virgin, in Caravaca de la Cruz, as a center for research and the arts" on Tuesday, October 6, from 8.30 pm to 8.45 pm.
This is a theoretical study to recover this 18th century property, one of the most emblematic and representative of the historic center of the city. On the other hand, on Tuesday, October 20, from 6.45 to 7.15 pm, there will be a presentation "The Roman hydraulic mill and other archaeological finds in the Hoya de los Molinos", by the archaeologists Juana María Marín, María Belén Sánchez, María Jesús Sánchez and Ana Isabel García, who will present the results and findings of the work carried out in the vicinity of the access road to Caravaca, near the funeral home, where the remains of a Roman mill appeared. The program of the Conference, which will be held on the fourth Tuesday of October, includes lectures given by leading specialists in the recovery and enhancement of historical, architectural, archaeological, paleontological, documentary, social, intangible and museum heritage, as well as technical studies in interventions carried out in the last year in Goods of Cultural Interest in the Region. In this edition, the conferences have been altered by the health situation and for this reason the scheduled sessions will be held online, by live videoconferences, through Microsoft TEAMS and through virtual connections, coordinated from the UPCT, to those enrolled.
