The councilor who directs the area, José Carlos Gómez, has delivered the prizes to the winners of this promotion, which consisted of taking a 'selfie' type photo, with a Caravacan scene as a backdrop, and publishing it on social networks from Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
Those who have received the greatest number of 'likes' or 'likes' will be able to enjoy a gift voucher consisting of a tasting dinner or lunch for two at any of the 12 bars and restaurants of the Association of Hoteliers that have been involved in the initiative, along with a passport to museums. "We appreciate the collaboration of the neighbors, as the best ambassadors of their land, and also of the hoteliers to be able to join us in a different way to an 'International Tourism Day' at a very complex time for the sector," said José Carlos Gómez , who has had a special mention for users of the Northwest Association of Families of People with Intellectual Disabilities (APCOM). The winners have been on Instagram Mari Carmen Pérez Muñoz (@LaJusticiera); on Facebook, Mari Cruz Torrecilla and on Twitter, Francisca Díaz García (@paquidiazG). Parallel to this promotion, the Department of Tourism held open days for a week to the Network of Museums of Caravaca de la Cruz.
The centenary cisterns of the Castillo de and the cellar of the Casa-Museo de los Caballos del Vino have been two spaces that were closed to the public and became part of the guided tours.
"The City Council progressively carries out an improvement plan for the Museum Network, to fix flaws and update its image and content," Gómez pointed out. On the other hand, the Councilor for Tourism has reported that this summer the 500 cultural passports that gave free access to the seven spaces of the Caravaca Museum Network were exhausted for people who spent the night in Caravaca and that they were distributed among the accommodations.
"That is why we have again published another 500 special bonds, within the measures to support the sector in a municipality that wants to consolidate itself as a versatile and safe destination, with a great cultural and monumental heritage."
