Somos Juventud, the youth of the regionalist party Somos Regi n, files a complaint with the Caravaca City Council requesting the elimination of urban architectural barriers in the historic center of Caravaca The historic center of Caravaca has a multitude of architectural barriers, barriers that hinder the passage of various groups, such as the elderly, disabled or reduced mobility. These barriers, by hindering the movement of neighbors with difficulty to move, also make it impossible for them to maintain all the social relationships they would like to have, also creating an insane feeling of dependency, since they lose much of their autonomy. The most dangerous barriers are those found on urban roads and common use free spaces. For these reasons, the youths of the regionalist party Somos Regi n, Somos Juventud, have presented, through the Coordinator of Somos Juventud in Caravaca, Mr.
Francisco Mart nez Ruzafa, a complaint to the consistory requesting the elimination of these barriers. This complaint is supported, in addition to the previously mentioned reasons, in that the existence of these obstacles to the daily life of many Caravaqueños violates Law 4/2017, of June 27, on universal accessibility of the Regi n de Murcia, in its article 22, which states: "It corresponds to the municipalities: Prepare, approve and execute the municipal accessibility plan and its corresponding reviews, as well as action and management plans in specific areas with accessibility effects, and determine annually the actions to be carried out and the corresponding budget.
" The complaint is also protected in article 24 of the same law, which reads the following: "In the actions included in historical ensembles, places, zones or sites protected by their historical or cultural value, or by being affected by environmental protection of protected or cataloged assets, the necessary adaptations will be applied to guarantee accessibility, without prejudice to the necessary preservation of the values ??object of protection. Therefore, they will not be exempt from compliance with the regulations for the development of this law, but will comply with all the requirements that are compatible with their degree of protection.
When it is not possible to guarantee any of the accessibility conditions established by regulation, the necessary reasonable adjustments will be made, justifiably applying alternative solutions that guarantee the highest degree of compliance with these conditions.
