The three school cooperatives formed in the CEIP "Cervantes" in the framework of the "A company in my school," ended yesterday another stage of its training program to sell their products at the weekly market.
The Councillor for Education, Juan Pedro Sánchez, who visited the selling points installed in the Plaza San Juan de la Cruz, stressed the virtues of the Primary Education Project "A company in my school" which aims to promote entrepreneurial culture from early age.
During the school year students create and manage a cooperative that manufacture products sold in the local market once a year.
The products have been developed by the learners themselves to help in some cases their families.
Members of these cooperatives have emerged of the "EME" (A company in my school) are students in 5 of primary education.
During this school year have developed products that have sold their own peers in the schoolyard, have adopted their statutes, have elected their representatives and have shared the leadership positions of cooperatives.
"The Market", "The Stand" and "Mercadiver" have collaborated for this course with several NGOs in the locality and the benefits of selling yesterday handed to the association "Solidarity and Hope" that go to building a orphanage in Haiti.
At school Cervantes has participated for three courses in this educational program and has been in three editions with the assistance of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz by the Department of Education.
The cooperative has designed its marketing program and have decided on the colors to use in their logos.
Each cooperative was wearing his own clothes, shirts and hats to the game that have been sponsored by Aqualia company responsible for municipal water service.
The Councillor for Education, Juan Pedro Sánchez, visited the school and inquired about the experience they have developed over the last few months by expressing his hope that in future they can use what they have learned to create their own businesses and give many people work in the municipality.
