The City of Caravaca de la Cruz and Aqualia Integrated Water Management have today delivered the prizes to the winners of the 8 th edition of the International Children's Painting Competition that the Municipal Water Service organizes each year in the commemoration of World water.
On this occasion, 253 students from 9 city Education Centers have submitted their designs to the contest with the theme "Water, our best value."
Compared to last year increased by 50% the number of schools in Caravaca de la Cruz who have participated in this activity which is intended to convey to students the enormous value of this resource.
In addition, Caravaca has been the municipality of the region that has seen increased participation and the highest number of finalists has been achieved.
The awards, held in the Meeting Room of City Hall, has been made by the mayor of Caravaca, Domingo Aranda Muñoz, accompanied by the Councillor for Education, Juan Pedro Sánchez, the head of service Aqualia, Mario Gonzalez.
In its eighth year, have been selected for the national competition: Juan Enrique Guerrero of school Solar Basilio Sáez, María Encarna school Velez Cervantes, Alberto de León González Muñoz and Marta Montoya school Our Lady of Consolation.
The City of Caravaca de la Cruz and Aqualia children thank all participants for their creativity and effort, while reported to continue to develop initiatives to spread the sense of responsibility regarding the use of water.
