1. The foundation John of the Cross is an initiative arising from the Parish Sto.
Thomas Morus Obertshausen and mainly me.
The idea was born on May 5, 2014 to the return of our pilgrimage to Caravaca de la Cruz to Obertshausen (Germany).
The presentation of the foundation in Obertshausen, was held on 21 July 2014 at the Mass celebrated on the occasion of the arrival of the relic of the Holy Blood John Paul II to the parish St. Thomas Morus Obertshausen.
The foundation belongs to the two parishes of Obertshausen, Heart of Jesus Parish and Parish of St. Thomas Morus, which I direct as pastor since 1987.
2. The cooperation agreement was designed after several meetings by Luis Galvez of caravaqueño origin and very active in our city of Obertshausen and technicians of the City of Caravaca, thanks to the willingness of both entities and was first signed in March 2015 between the former mayor D. Domingo Aranda and on my behalf by Luis Galvez, later expanding this agreement to be improving on Monday 22 February in the city of Caravaca by its current mayor José Moreno Medina and a server.
This agreement provides an opportunity for young people stay in Caravaca by Germany to improve their employability and learning the German language, in addition to student exchanges to strengthen links between young people from both cities.
3. The foundation John of the Cross is an impartial, so we want to make it clear that each partisan bickering only hurts and creates bad atmosphere to this initiative.
4. The foundation John of the Cross is also unique in Germany.
Interest in the media here in our city and region is very large, this makes the holy city of Caravaca de la Cruz, increasingly is in the advertising focus pudiéndole benefit.
5. For the Holy Year 2017, I planned a pilgrimage from my parish the first week of May and possibly we can also accompany a television ZDF (Second German Television Channel) and one of the largest station in Europe.
6. Caravaca is a part of my heart and every day included their fellow citizens in my prayers and so I wanted to develop actions like this Foundation to strengthen the ties between our cities.
7. The foundation John of the Cross should be supported in an impartial manner by all citizens, to achieve the objectives for which it emerged.
