The first activity will be held on March 17, entitled 'The Internet of the kids'
The Department of Education of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz launches a 'School of Parents', in which information and resources for the education of children will be provided and meet the new challenges of today's society.
This initiative was presented by the head area councilor of Education, Esther Poveda, accompanied by the president of the Federation of Associations of Parents of the municipality, Rafael Fortis.
Both stressed the importance of promoting actions that favor the encounter between parents and their development as trainers.
"The School of Parents is a space of continuous, practical and experiential training where matters of general interest to families will be addressed and new tools and resources to educate in managing emotions will be exposed," said Poveda.
To do this, he continued the mayor, put into practice two types of different training activities: lectures, free support, and workshops, with subsidized prices for members of the AMPAS.
All activities held during the year will be open to educators, because the subjects work are equally applicable to the school environment, as well as anyone interested in the issues that are given.
For the first half of the 'School of Parents', the Department of Education has scheduled the following talks at the House of Emilio Sáez Culture: 'Internet of sin' (March 17, 20:00, by Tenredo ), 'Humor and values' (April 7, at 19:00, by Ángel Rielo),' emotional Intelligence: what are we talking about?
(May 19, at 20.00 hours, by Ana Peinado).
As for the workshops the first of the proposed will 'Introduction to coaching as a useful and practical tool applicable to educational area', which will consist of two sessions of three hours each, and will be taught by Mariano Oyonarte.
Those interested can choose between two shifts: Friday from 19.00 to 22.00 and Saturday from 10.00 to 13.00.
The inscriptions are formalized in the Informajoven or AMPAS of schools.
The price is 5 euros for members of associations of parents, and 8 for non-members.
Moreover, the Councillor for Education said that this academic year has launched the first 'School Teens' at the Youth Center, with workshops on topics useful to the social, emotional and academic development, in a key stage of life is adolescence.
"To date, have held separate sessions on study skills, control of test anxiety and egalitarian relationships, social networks, techniques for public speaking and awareness and sensitization on gender violence", he said.
