The lack of an agricultural insurance system to cover losses to real production and ensure the income of farmers in case of disaster, seriously endangers the survival of many farms and hence employment generating activity.
It is necessary to provide the agricultural sector of insurance not subject to penalties that cover the actual harvest and to ensure economic activity in case of disaster as happened and sustainable employment.
Particularly serious is the loss of jobs thinning, harvesting and cooperatives, especially considering the current economic situation, leading to an emergency situation for thousands of families, to which the City of Caravaca can not remain oblivious .
For these reasons the following resolutions are proposed:
Support the request made by representatives of the agricultural sector with the Central Government to be dowry the agricultural sector in the region of an agricultural insurance frost and hail that cover actual production and is an effective tool to ensure the survival of agricultural activity and employment generated in case of disaster.
To request the Government of the Region of Murcia and the Government of the Nation, decreeing emergency support to farmers affected by frost.
To request the Government of the Region and the Government of the Nation endowment funds to implement a Special Employment Plan for the affected municipalities, in order to reduce unemployment caused by the loss of the result of occurring frost crops.
To issue this agreement to the municipalities of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia requesting their commitment and support to this motion.
The municipal groups agree, within a period not exceeding 30 days, to continue working on finding support measures for farmers, such as reductions or bonuses tax and social security as well as search and proposing methods against adverse weather conditions environmentally sustainable.
