The president of the Community and the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz meet in the Palacio de San Esteban to advance action to be taken in infrastructure, security and healthcare
The regional government is working on signaling 'Camino del Levante', one of the tours included in the 'Cross Roads' which will be shown and the pilgrims of the Holy Year 2017. At installation of a first set of signals or beacons continuity follows the placement of poles with arrows, information signs and stone markers.
These signaling works completed in the coming weeks and join another series of actions in which the regional administration is working with the City of Caravaca to promote and encourage the next Jubilee Year.
In all these preparations progressed same morning at the meeting at the Palacio de San Esteban between the president of the Community, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, Jose Moreno.
The 'Camino del Levante' join ten municipalities around the Vera Cruz and is a new itinerary that begins in Orihuela and runs through the Murcian towns of Beniel, Murcia, Molina de Segura, Alguazas, Campos del Rio, Albudeite, Mula, Bullas, Cehegín and Caravaca de la Cruz.
The Chief Executive reiterated the support of the Community to continue working on preparations for the Holy Year, which will make Caravaca de la Cruz in pilgrimage center that attract thousands of visitors from all over Spain and other parts of the world.
During the meeting at the Palacio de San Esteban, President and Mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz addressed various issues related to health care or safety in the municipality facing the Jubilee Year;
the appropriateness of creating a way station bus or revitalization of green areas surrounding the shrine, among others.
