New Generations of the Popular Party of Caravaca de la Cruz joins the celebration of the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia which takes place on May 17 to commemorate this day of 1990 homosexuality was removed from the list of mental illnesses by the General Assembly of the World Health Organization (WHO).
NNGG Caravaca want to show your support and make visible to everyone who still suffer discrimination on sexual orientation or condition, denouncing the prejudices of those subject by this condition.
The main objective of this conference, which this year is held under the slogan 'Mental Health and Wellbeing', is to coordinate all kinds of actions that serve to denounce the discrimination they are subjected gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender and to advance their rights worldwide.
In many countries these people are persecuted and even their sex is punishable by the death penalty.
Sexual and gender diversity are still characterized by many states and by most people around the world as mental health problems, and this definition is the reason for the public persecution, discrimination and social stigma.
Even in the most progressive places, this course, sometimes unconscious, is still at the root of many obstacles to full equality for gay people, hence the theme chosen this year.
