More seventy projections from short films, fiction productions, documentaries and video art pieces are part of the VI International Short Film and Video Art 'The Festivalico', held in Caravaca de la Cruz, on days 3, 4, 5 to 20 June.
The program of this event was presented at the headquarters of the Cultural Association of Art 'The Jadinico' by the Councillor for Culture in the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, Oscar Martinez, together with the components of the organizing committee, Meel Bernal and Mariabe Reina, who unveiled the titles selected for this year and made a call for participation, as both projections and parallel activities are free of charge.
"For this edition we have received a total of 937 pieces, which have been selected 73 works, which total more than nine hours of cinema", they stressed from the organization, which also wanted to recognize the caravaqueño artist Sam3 their contribution, with design poster.
The mayor of Culture highlighted the efforts made by the organization to overcome the quality of the sample in each issue and offer the public a weekend dedicated to the world of cinema, maintaining an alternative and independent culture in the Northwest Region, with aspiration to become a benchmark in the region of Murcia.
One of the novelties of this edition will be 'The Shortest Night', which will take place on Friday, June 20, with the screening of 15 short films, from 20.00.
In the section of parallel activities include the workshop 'characterization', by the production manager, Carmen Lopez, which will take place from 11.00 to 14.00, Saturday June 4, in the House of Culture Emilio Sáez ', and the concert of "Bravo Alexei' will be held that night in the pub 'the Note'.
Similarly, there are two sections dedicated to local jobs, made by caravaqueños or by people linked to the municipality in which pieces by Francisco Martinez, Juan Ruiz, Jose Manuel Lopez, Reme Perni, Francisco Martinez and Javier Gomez presented.
The VI International Short Film and Video Art 'The Festivalico' opens this Friday, June 4, at 21.00, with the Documentaries section and Fiction in the theater Thuillier.
