The employment through vocational qualification and execution of works in public spaces are the objectives of the new employment program launched by the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through its Department of Employment.
The mayor, Jose Moreno, who visited the 15 student-workers and three hired as teachers, explained that "through this mixed program of employment and training various purposes are met, among which creating jobs , training of unemployed people and providing a public service with the execution of works of general interest. "
For its part, the councilor responsible for the area of ​​Employment, Julia Gimenez, reported that this project will be operational during the new months and is funded with 165,147 euros from the Regional Employment Service and Training (SEF) and 40,000 Town Hall Caravaca de la Cruz.
The student workers perform works paving sidewalks and driveways and work to improve accessibility and repair public buildings, among other tasks.
Participants in the program also receive additional training in subjects such as computer literacy, risk prevention and gender equality.
This is the third project of employment that the City of Caravaca de la Cruz launched in 2016. As of 'Maintenance of public spaces', join that of 'tours and information to visitors' and working on adapting the basement of the Municipal Center for Employment, training and Equal to create new classrooms.
