The mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, Jose Moreno, accompanied by the mayor of Youth and Education, Esther Poveda, has welcomed students of the conservatory Obertshausen who are staying in the city.
At the reception she has also participated caravaqueño conservatory director, Antonio A. Torrecilla, and his counterpart in the German city, Dietmar Schrod.
The visit is part of the exchange between the conservatory 'Leandro Martínez Romero' and Obertshausen, twinned with Caravaca de la Cruz city.
Among the activities planned, the German students and caravaqueños offered on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, at 20.00 hours, concert 'Big-Band' on Paseo de La Corredera.
The links between Caravaca de la Cruz and Obertshausen were created in the decade of the sixties, when a group of caraqueños emigrated to Germany.
Since that time, the two cities have regularly participated in meetings cultural and juvenile type, which have strengthened the ties between the neighbors of both territories.
