In order to promote good habits of life and generate a critical attitude to smoking, City of Caravaca de la Cruz has developed among the adolescent population of the municipality a new edition of the 'Healthy Travel'.
Since the Youth Council highlight the high commitment made by students during this course because of the 46 who started the program eight months ago, they have reached its final phase 42.
The name of this program drug prevention mode responds to motivate young people, because those who complete it are rewarded participation in an activity of leisure and living outside the town, which is changing every issue.
Also, they enter a lottery to attend a youth meeting in a European country.
"For two days they will participate in a coexistence in the hostel toes Calnegre in Eagles, and some of them have been selected by lot to join the European Youth Meeting to be held in the German city of Meiningen "as reported by the Councillor for Youth and Education, Esther Poveda.
Young people have participated in various medical tests to verify that fulfilled their commitments healthy, such as not starting consumption of snuff, and have attended workshops and lectures on drug prevention and promotion of healthy lifestyles.
Some 550 students of 4th year of ESO have joined in the last ten years the program 'Healthy Travel', which currently coordinates Dr. Sandro Guachi, together with technicians of the Department of Youth.
