The plenary approved a new agreement with the UNED and motions against bullying, the free provision of textbooks and the defense of the remuneration of interim teachers
The City of Caravaca de la Cruz has agreed in plenary terminate the agreement with the tax authorities of the Region of Murcia in order to adopt a more effective revenue model.

The proposed rescinding the agreement went ahead with the favorable votes of the team of socialist government and citizens and refraining from local groups of the Popular Party and United Left.
On the other hand, was also approved, with the support of all political groups, the proposal of the Department of Education to sign a new partnership agreement with the Consortium Associate Regional Center UNED, in order to end the funding problems and improve the services that the National Open University provides in the municipality.
One of the novelties that will be reflected in the new agreement is that the extension of the Open University Northwest, located in the Plaza del Hoyo, will be renamed 'University Lecture Hall of Caravaca de la Cruz'.
The Councillor for Education, Esther Poveda, recalled that the municipal budgets of 2016 reflected an increase in the resources allocated to the UNED, going to consist of 65,000 euros, of which 51,000 are destined to service maintenance and the rest to cope debt gradually through a payment plan.

Another point approved at the regular June plenary session was the motion of the Socialist Municipal Group on free textbooks in compulsory education, with the votes of the council of the PSOE, IU and C, s abstention from PP.
Through this motion will urge the Ministry of Education to implement the agreement of the Regional Assembly adopted in September 2015.
Finally, it was approved unanimously the motion group Citizens in defense of compliance with the regional government the legal mandate contained in the budgets on salaries to temporary teachers.
The plenary session ended with the attendance of the Councillor for Education requested by opposition groups in order to respond on some works in the school in the hamlet of La Encarnación.
