The City of Caravaca de la Cruz has dedicated a street to Professor Michael J. Walker, director for nearly thirty years of excavations that every July take place in the Black Cave, a site considered international benchmark for the study of the human evolution.
To the hamlet of La Encarnación, where is located the site, the mayor, Jose Moreno, moved by the mayor of Culture, Oscar Martinez, and members of the Municipal Corporation.
"Professor Walker has been a catalyst for many research teams, which have helped to meet worldwide the values ​​of the Black Cave and around the Strait Historic Site of The Incarnation," the mayor after the discovery of the license plate.
Meanwhile, Walker, accompanied by multidisplinar esquipo who has worked in the Black Cave, expressed his appreciation for the tribute, which was approved with the support of all political groups by the full Consistory.
Previously, open days at the site, which brought together more than a hundred people were held.
