A total of 20 young people from the region of Murcia attend the course Leisure Monitor which is being held in Caravaca de la Cruz.
The general director of Youth, Francisco Sanchez, and the local mayor, José Moreno, visited this week the students of this training activity that began at the end of June and will end on July 29.
This course provides participants obtain the official qualification that allows intervene in activities of children or youth leisure, either entities youth or in specific activities such as camps or labor camps, so it may be an option young volunteering or employment.
Sanchez explained "this type of training is highly demanded by young people and the official title of Leisure Monitor awarded by the Department of Youth can be assured that whoever is in charge of children and youth in the realization of different leisure activities has adequate training and is prepared to address potential problems and to contribute to the proper development of these young people. "
Annually, recalled the CEO, "are performed and coordinated by Youth between 20 and 30 such courses, plus another significant number of additional training activities, between 50 and 100, short-lived and developed in the framework of lifelong learning programs. "
These courses monitor imparting animation schools and education in the free time must be approved by the Department of Youth, which is the entity that is responsible for regulating and coordinating them through their training center, the Regional School of Animation and Education at Leisure.
Specifically, the currently developed in Caravaca de la Cruz has been promoted by the Youth Council of the town, which in recent years is encouraging this type of training, and is being taught by the school 'El Molino' one recognized centers in the region for such activities.
It has a theoretical phase of 160 hours and another 90 hours of practice.
