The Governing Council of the Region of Murcia authorized the signing of an agreement between the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure and the City of Caravaca de la Cruz for the execution of works to improve road safety in the urban crossing the regional road RM-715, which connects the town with Moratalla.
This action is part of the initiatives developed by the Community to boost the celebration of the Holy Year, commemorated in 2017. This project will serve to expand the infrastructure of the municipality to facilitate access and the arrival of pilgrims and visitors in general come to Caravaca de la Cruz on the occasion of the Jubilee Year.
The works consist in the execution of a halt and urbanization of the environment in the urban section of the RM-715 road, called Avenue Andenes de Gregorio Sanchez Romero de Caravaca with a budget of 108,349 euros.
Works include the construction of three bus stops on the avenue, next to the Plaza del Templete.
The Community shall bear the demolitions and earthworks, retaining walls and fences, paving and signage, which will cost 60,000 euros work.
For its part, the City will take care of the replacement of infrastructure and works of urban services such as street lighting, underground network of low voltage supply, sewerage and telephone services, which represent an investment of 48,349 euros .
Convention Caravaca de la Cruz to support civil protection in major emergencies
The Governing Council has given approval also an agreement between the Community and the City of Caravaca de la Cruz to the municipal organization of civil defense volunteers is part of the Logistics Group provided for in the Territorial Plan of Civil Protection of the Region Murcia (Platemur).
The Logistics Group is one of the groups of action plans Civil Protection and municipal organizations have volunteer civil protection.
