"This workshop is conceived as a space for reflection and a search for alternatives that improve family life and, above all, prevent substance abuse or other addictive behaviors in our children", as highlighted by the councilor responsible for the area of ​​Health, women and Social services, Maria Jose Soria, who added that this initiative "in the interest of both the Proyecto Hombre association as the caravaqueño Consistory, to provide adequate services tailored to the needs and problems of the population."
For its part, the therapist in Caravaca de la Cruz Project Man, Concha Nortes, said that "parenting is a rewarding and challenging work at the same time, so our responsibility is to inform and form, since society poses risks we have to take and, sometimes, we can be alone with the difficulties with our children. The workshop will be dynamic and interactive and will be taught in weekly sessions of one hour and a half, coordinated and directed by the therapist Youth Program.
Among the contents of the workshop is the knowledge of risk factors, the needs of children, communication, conflict resolution, rules and limits, self-esteem, emotional stress, adolescence and free time.
The workshop will be held on Tuesdays, from 17.00 to 18.20 hours at the headquarters of Man Project, located in the Municipal Center for Employment, Training and Equality.
