Caravaca de la Cruz welcomes tomorrow, Tuesday 27, holding a regional level 'World Tourism Day', which this year is dedicated to the promotion of accessible tourism.
On this occasion, people with disabilities of various associations and federations of Murcia made a tour of the city.
The event, in which the participation of about 300 people is estimated, is sponsored by State Representative Platform for Physically Disabled (Predif) and susFamiliasdelaRegióndeMurcia dePersonasconDiscapacidady Committee (Cermi), with the support of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz and the Ministry of Tourism.
The activity also has the support of Civil Protection, Red Cross and volunteers from the Catholic University of San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM).
This year, the 'World Tourism Day' aims to raise awareness among tourism professionals, and society in general, of the importance of tourism for all and its social, cultural, political and economic.
Currently, it is estimated that 15% of the world population lives with a disability, that is, which are about 1,000 million people worldwide that because, in many cases, the lack of accessible tourist destinations, They do not have the privilege to approach other cultures, natural surroundings or enjoy the experience of a journey to explore new landscapes or places.
