"A lot of emotion," these are the two words most repeated between the cloistered nuns of the monastery of Santa Clara de Caravaca de la Cruz, recalling the celebration of temporary vows of two of them.
Gema Rosmery and Beatriz Inmaculada did, in the afternoon yesterday, the temporary profession, after two and a half years as novices.
The Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Mons. José Manuel Lorca Planes, presided over the celebration, attended by several priests, Franciscan Friars and Carmelite Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation and Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly and lay faithful.
The two Clares made the three vows (poverty, obedience and chastity), which will meet at the close of caravaqueño monastery.
To them they were handed the black veil and the medal of the Immaculate, as well as the constitutions of the Order.
Mons. Lorca recalled in his homily to Santa Clara and San Francisco, who left everything to follow Christ, and stressed the importance of love in their vocation, both God and the brothers.
After a first stage of formation in the novitiate, the two religious continue to form and taking responsibilities within the community of Caravaca, to -at least- within three years, at which admission to solemn profession may request.
