The Full Council of Caravaca de la Cruz has approved the creation of the Rural Council of Caravaca de la Cruz, a body of sectoral and consultative nature, which are represented the different economic, social and professional organizations in order to channel their participation in issues related to the environment, agriculture, livestock and forestry.
The Rural Council's functions include evaluating the rural areas of the municipality;
proposing initiatives that positively impact Caravaca de la Cruz;
issuing non-binding reports on projects or regulations that could develop the City Council or other administrations and raise proposals to the competent bodies.
The proposed statutes that will govern the operation of this body was elevated to the plenary by the council of Agriculture and Environment, Enrique Fuentes, and was supported by all political groups.
The plenary session also was appointed Councillor of Social Services and Health, Maria Jose Soria, representing the City of Caravaca de la Cruz in the Health Council Area IV Northwest, the top advisory body and citizen participation public health.
On the other hand, was approved, with the favorable vote of all the parties represented in the table, the motion presented by the Popular Municipal Group to urge the Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS) to expand the opening of Home for the Elderly Caravaca seven days a week during the twelve months of the year, except local, regional and national holidays.
Today, the home is closed one day a week during the months of June and September and two days a week in the months of July and August.
Another debated and unanimously approved motions, the motion was to demand the construction of the motorway Sale Cavila (Caravaca) -Sales of Olivo.
The text submitted to plenary by the group People's Party, agrees to transfer the regional government through the Ministry of Public Works, the need to undertake the project 'Northern Highway' as a basic axis of communication.
In the last regular plenary session it was also approved the motion proposed by the government team Socialist Party for the implementation of emergency measures in the education system.

At the beginning of the plenary session he took office as councilman of the Municipal People's Party Group of Francisco Manuel Jimenez, after the resignation of Manuel Sanchez Rodriguez.
