Caravaca de la Cruz joins the network of municipalities in the region of Murcia emergency exchanging information in real time, thanks to the integration into the system of emergency management center 112.
The mayor, Jose Moreno, and the Minister of Presidency, Maria Dolores Pagán, signed the agreement, which has the ultimate objective to provide citizens with a more rapid and effective response to emergencies.
In addition to enabling effective coordination and optimization of resources for mobilization, interconnection between municipalities and service 112 promotes the resolution of incidents immediately, helping to improve care, safety and, ultimately, the quality of life of citizens.
Thanks to the collaboration between the regional and local administrations, the City has a remote terminal 112. The Ministry of Presidency will provide the necessary technical support and hardware equipment and software for connection to the system of 112-Murcia and initial and ongoing training of municipal staff who will attend terminals 1-1-2.
Thus, operators of Emergency Coordination Center 112-Murcia introduce the data of each issue to manage in a shared services with local, visible from the remote terminal emergency that is installed on each system.
Similarly, those emergencies that are received directly by local services by telephone, radio or direct knowledge of the operation will be included in the system by the operators of the remote center 112.
The intervention of different agencies in the incidents will occur according to existing protocols performance in which the body or service must act to ensure the life or physical integrity of persons or property is determined.
Next to Caravaca de la Cruz, they signed the agreement Sewer municipalities, Eagles, Cieza, Torre Pacheco, Alhama de Murcia, Mula and Puerto Lumbreras.
