The City of Caravaca de la Cruz, the region and the Association of Footwear Industries, Jute and Allied join forces to deploy in the municipality Vocational Training Middle Grade of "Technician in Footwear and Fashion Accessories."
This has been evident in the meeting between the mayor, Jose Moreno, general director of Educational Centers, Maria Dolores Valcárcel;
the Councillor for Education, Esther Poveda, and caravaqueños entrepreneurs in the footwear sector.
As expressed by Jose Moreno, "the City Council of Caravaca support the implementation of this module because although shoemaking in Caravaca is a centennial activity, in recent times the sector has taken a qualitative leap, opening markets international, so improving the training of manpower is a necessity for not curtailing its growth. "
Local and regional administrations as well as the companies grouped in such an association, set the objective of implementing this new module for the upcoming academic year 2017/2018 in order to generate employment and improve the skills of workers in the sector.
In particular, the development of this cycle vocational training would provide highly skilled workers, which would provide quality and design to the product, thereby avoiding certain tasks in the production chain will have to materialize out of the Northwest Region where focus 70% Murcian shoe companies.
In this regard, it is noteworthy that the only schools with a training offer of this type are located in municipalities of Valencia.
The module Technician Training Footwear and Fashion Accessories cover the entire manufacturing process, as well as the training required to perform various occupations and career opportunities related to the sector.
The chosen formula is the Dual training, which alternated the theoretical contents with practice in companies of the Association of Footwear Industries, Jute and Allied.
The contents of the module will be adapted to the production needs of the companies in the region.
