The Department of Culture of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz announces the Competition I Outdoor Painting "Rafael Tejeo" within pre-Jubilee Year 2017. The festival activities will be held on November 5, with the aim of painters novices, amateurs and professionals coexist in a day devoted to painting, drawing upon themes and landscapes in the town of Caravaca de la Cruz.
Accompanied by the head of the municipal department of Culture, Diego Marin, and Mamen Gutierrez, Cultural Patronage, Councillor for Culture, Oscar Martinez, he presented the first edition of this competition, with which pays tribute to caravaqueño artist Rafael Tejeo , court painter Elizabeth II, considered one of the great portrait painters of the first half of the nineteenth century.
"This contest, with technical and freestyle to encourage spontaneously paint their bases contemplates two categories of participation, one for children and one for over 16 years", as detailed by the mayor Oscar Martinez.
They may attend any kind artists who wish, with one work per participant.
The paintings must be unique and original and not presented in any case other contests.
The style and technique will be free and will be the theme chosen natural landscapes, everyday scenes and urban scenarios Caravaca de la Cruz.
Must be produced works on rigid support to facilitate their exhibition, and each participant must be provided with the necessary equipment to perform the work.
The term registration is open from the time of publication of the bases until 9.30 hours on November 5, 2016 and can be paid on the premises of Informajoven and / or Municipal Library, from 9.00 to 14.00 and 16.00 to 21.00, indicating the participant's name, contact phone and email.
Registration may also be made, within the same period, addressing mail to the following address: areadecultura@caravacadelacruz.es.
Each contestant may submit a maximum work with minimum 150 x 150 maximum dimensions of 50 x 50 and works go unsigned and accompanied by a sealed envelope attached to the back, with the personal data of the participant.
The first prize in the category 'Adult' is worth 600 euros and the second prize, with 200 euros.
Children category will have a prize valued at $ 200, redeemable for school supplies.
The jury will be composed of people related to the world of painting and art and representatives of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz.
